We have travelled so far in 2020 and now a new year is here. What will it bring and which places will we see? As the Covid-19 virus still steers the regulations in the countries we want to visit, we have decided to stay in the Caribbean, instead of passing the Panama Canal this year. There are also so many beautiful places to visit here in the West Indies, so we will stay and explore more of the Caribbean Islands. We are not in a hurry. On Monday we plan to go to Martinique.

Maybe this was the happiest New Years Eve for us. We spent it with our buddy boats, Rivercafe and Ibex, together with other sailors at Spinnaker restaurant at the beach in Rodney Bay. With temperature check at the entrance and being outside, we felt virus safe. To splendid music and even dancing we happily enjoyed the last day of 2020. Nilla even won a price in a head-tail game. Silently we drove the dinghy back in the dark.

In the new year we went for a hike at Pigeon Island up to Fort Rodney, that was built in 1778 as an important defence of the anchorage bay. It was quite windy, but very a beautiful view.

Another wonderful hike we made in Marigot Bay was up the hill on the mountain surrounded by a beautiful nature.
